This new solution enables streamlined management and easy updating of training materials, making it simpler for employees to find and enroll in relevant courses. The platform has increased interest in learning and development across the organization, aligning with Eltel's focus on continuous skill-building.
“Our e-learning center enables us to create and manage training materials efficiently, something we couldn’t do with our previous system,” says Christina Hansen, Head of Training and Development at Eltel Academy Norway. “Everything is now centralized and searchable, improving accessibility, organization, and our ability to deliver new courses. In the long term, we see this as a way to drive knowledge demand and strengthen Eltel’s expertise.”
When Eltel initially sought a dedicated e-learning platform, they found that many solutions included costly features they didn’t need. Instead, they leveraged Omnia—already used for their intranet—creating a seamlessly integrated e-learning center that employees could easily access without adapting to new systems.
“The Omnia team showed us we could build an effective e-learning center that meets all our needs,” explains Christina. “Being able to do this on a familiar platform has made training resources more accessible and reduced onboarding time for the system.”
Launched in early 2023, Eltel’s e-learning center is structured around the company’s core service areas, such as Mobile Telecommunications. This organization makes it easy for employees to find specialized knowledge, register for courses, and access relevant documents in one place. Regular workshops with Omnia’s e-learning experts further accelerated development.
“This structure makes it easier for training managers to deliver new courses and ensure content is up-to-date,” says Christina. “Employees appreciate having everything in one place, and the integration with Omnia has made the platform both efficient and familiar.”
The positive reception from employees, who find it easier to engage in ongoing learning, has underscored Eltel's commitment to skill development. The next step is to launch a preboarding portal, offering new hires access to resources that prepare them for their roles before day one.
“Education and knowledge sharing are vital to Eltel's competitiveness and employee satisfaction. With Omnia, we’re confident our training quality will continue to improve, driving interest in skill development and strengthening our brand,” Christina concludes. This streamlined, centralized approach ensures that Eltel can efficiently manage and expand its training programs, directly enhancing the organization’s overall competence and long-term success.

The platform’s integration has enhanced employee satisfaction, and the solution continues to support Eltel’s long-term goal of strengthening expertise and driving skill development.
